Ericka Mora | This is a love story ( Archive )

From Ericka Mora,  Caturra Honey Crisp and sweetness with silky mouthfeel. ‘classic’ honey profile from Costa Rica.

When I talk about Ericka and her family, and our story with them, I feel as though I’m telling a love story.

For the first time in their lives, Ericka and her daughters were processing the coffee cherries that Ruben harvested. Every step of the way was taken with care and love. They floated the coffee cherries in a small tank, put cherries into the pulper one bucket at a time, and manually carried out all the steps.

A love story that recounts the meeting of the strangers, building trust, sharing pains, and to grow to love one another wholeheartedly. After meeting us, Ericka and family decided to process their coffee. They put out small raised beds in the front yard of the house to dry the coffees in the sun.

Caturra and Catuai varieties processed in what they called, Red honey, was their beginning. It was unbelievably clean and sweet, especially knowing that it was the family’s first time processing the coffee.

Each CeedSeries pouch starts with a name—the name of the person who grew the coffee. It’s a simple way to remind you that behind every cup, there’s a real story. The outer paper feels soft and natural, thoughtfully chosen to complement and frame the producers’ own packaging inside.

Inside, you’ll find the true package: one with a valve to preserve the coffee’s flavors, prepared by the producer themselves. Often, a handwritten note is included too. These small touches turn coffee into something more—an experience of connection.

Even the delivery box is part of that story. It changes slightly with each release, reflecting the nature of coffee itself. Even from the same farm, each harvest brings something new. These changing boxes quietly celebrate how coffee, like people, is always growing and evolving.
